Work from home day = Entertain sticky baby day.
I realised it’s been more than two months since I worked from home.
And it’s quite difficult when someone keeps demanding to sit on my lap while I work! 😅
Finally, she played on her own.. for about three minutes.
Bedtime with Clarissa.
We spent more than an hour reading story after story after story.
“Can we read another story please?”
“How come all the stories are so short?”
After reading the last story for the night, here’s the boss, working on a word puzzle and using her fingers to mark out all the letters she found.
And then her Daddy came in, did his usual bedtime massage for her while she showed him the picture she drew about her day today.
We asked her if she’d like to sleep on the cot bed or the fire truck bed tonight.
She lay on her tummy, on her fire truck bed and said, “Cot bed.”
But she remained lying down on her fire truck bed, pretending to be really exhausted and yet her mischievous eyes gave her away, “But I’m too tired to move to the cot bed on my own.”
The hubs and I gave each other a knowing look.
“Oh what should we do then?” I played along.
“I need a handsome young man to carry me to the cot bed please!” She said.
Said handsome young man.
Clarissa let out a smelly fart.
“Oops, excuse me Mummy,” she said. “Very smelly right?”
“Yep, very smelly,” I told her the truth. “But I still love you.”
“If my fart is one hundred times more smelly, you would still love me?” She asked, clearly pleased and sure of the answer.
“Yes of course, even if your fart is super duper one thousand times more smelly, I’d still love you,” I said.
A few minutes later she asked, “Mummy, are you going to pick me up from the school bus tomorrow?”
“Nope, I’m going to the office tomorrow so I can’t pick you up from the school bus,” I explained to her. “But I’ll try to be home early ok?”
“Can you be home before we eat dinner?” She asked. I guess she was hoping she’d get her Paw Patrol fix before dinner.
“I don’t think so, sweetie. I should be back either when you are eating dinner or after you finish eating,” I said to her.
“It’s ok Mummy! Even if you cannot come home before we eat dinner, I will still love you!” She declared.
