It’s 1045pm and I’m usually asleep by now, well, in the past two weeks.
The combination of the Flu virus and menses that came a few days earlier than the usual 27-28 day cycle made me feel so lethargic and so.. wobbly.
I need to start somewhere again, writing in the dark.
2 weeks ago I finally restarted my twice-a-week jogs.
Only to fall sick.
And now I’m starting again.
I was planning to jog this morning before starting my work-from-home day but it started drizzling as I buckled Clarissa up in her car seat.
So I decided to play it safe, because no point running in the rain and catching a cold again.
I got breakfast instead.. and guess what?
It didn’t rain.
Good thing I was able to finish my work by 6pm and went for the jog while the girls had their dinner.
It was a nice comfortable run.
Throwback to Saturday.
Our little Chelsea girl.
We bought this jersey in London, Stamford Bridge!
Jiejie wore it when she was two, and it’s now Meimei’s turn to wear it.
I sent these photos to the grandparents.
My mum called and asked me why I dressed Allie up like a car mechanic.
I told her it’s a soccer jersey but she said, “那个Yoko什么不是轮胎 meh?!”
Before gym class.
Officially (re)starting her gym class after a two-week hiatus!
I took the separation anxiety section to the next level.. by taking a bathroom break. 😆👍
We had an awesome lunch at Nakhon Kitchen!
Packed Allie’s puree and she had it with rice.
She’s been rejecting her puree so much that we’ve officially stopped giving her puree from today.
She loves rice so I’d pretend to give her rice and then shove a spoonful of puree into her mouth when she opens it for the rice.
Lol it worked a few times but then she refused to be tricked once she realised what I was doing.
She prefers the rice to be fed by hand though, instead of on a spoon? Lol our quirky little girl.
I’m still trying to figure out what and how to feed her!
Not easy, for someone who hates puree and hates chewing her food. 🙄
This week’s meal plan has been quite challenging to write, but we shall see how it goes.
Haha just for fun, while watching Bolt on Netflix.
Clarissa can write her full Chinese name!
The girls went swimming as usual.
We headed to my in-laws’ for an early reunion dinner.
She looks like she’s doing some detective work here but really, she was just eyeing the playground. 😆
I trimmed her hair for the first time, this morning.
She kept moving so.. I might have over-trimmed her fringe a little. 🙊
Daddy thinks it looks bad but when Jiejie saw her at pick-up she touched her hair and said, “Wah your hair so nice now!”
I didn’t tell Jiejie I trimmed Meimei’s hair ok!
Yep, she does funny things at home. 😆
Paw Patrol to the lookout!
While I was trying to finish my work so I could go for my jog.
Allie deliberately squeezed herself beside her Jiejie.
Jiejie complained that it was too squeezy.
But when I finally turned to look at them, they were just cuddling up like this watching TV together. 😍😍
So it’s been a pretty good day.. until bed time.
Allie simply refused to sleep, even though it was her usual bed time.
It’s been a bit of a gamble trying to make her sleep these days.
We are not sure when we’d win or when she’d win. 😅😂
Most of the time she wins because she cries so badly we have to let her come out of the room.
I haven’t got a solution yet but I guess we have to keep trying something until we get it.
Earlier on, while I was singing lullabies to unwind her, she rolled over to my side and planted a big fat kiss on my cheek.
And then she looked at me, and smiled cheekily.
I said to her, wah luckily you are cute.
Yet in my heart I guess she’s refusing to sleep because she wants to spend more time playing with us?
And it makes me feel a little wistful.
So despite the rather difficult night, I feel blessed.
And now it’s me and Allie tonight, in Jiejie’s room instead of her own room / the study room.
