So at IKEA yesterday, the little boss wanted to have ice cream.

But she was having a bit of runny nose and a bit of cough (only in the mornings after milk).

I told her she can't have ice cream because she still has mucus and cough.

She tried asking a few more times, "Gor-gor eating ice cream. I also want to eat the ice cream." Pointing at random kids slurping their ice creams and getting me to look at them.

But I said no, next time ok? When you have no mucus and cough.

She looked sad but didn't kick up a fuss about it.

She took her meds as usual last night but this morning she told our helper she didn't need the meds anymore because she has no more mucus and cough.

She even took the bottles of meds and put them back into the fridge?!

I didn't hear her coughing in the morning and indeed she didn't have a runny nose so I told the helper it's ok then, after double-checking with the little boss that she was indeed feeling fine.

While we got ready to leave for work, she said to our helper:

Now I can eat ice cream already.

I didn't think she'd be so θ€Ώθ€ΏδΊŽζ€€ about the ice cream!

I told her she should take her meds if she's still not well but since she seems to be ok already I'm ok for her not to take it.

I also told her she was good yesterday for not throwing a tantrum.

Sometimes we just don't realise how much goes through a (soon to be) 3-year-old's mind.

πŸ‘§: Clarissa, do you know it's Ah-gong's birthday today?

πŸ‘Ά: Yah? I know! I already sing birthday song for him!

(Checked with our helper. Indeed, my FIL told her it's his birthday today and she sang the birthday song to him in the car, in English, Chinese and Malay. πŸ˜†)

πŸ‘§: Clarissa, what did you do in school today?

πŸ‘Ά: Nothing!

πŸ‘§: Huh?

πŸ‘Ά: I do nothing! I go to school and play only! (Laughs)

πŸ‘¦ tried to video call Ah-gong but he wasn't picking up.

πŸ‘Ά looked at Ah-gong's WhatsApp display picture and started talking anyway.

πŸ‘Ά: Ah-gong, why your face so dirty? Why you never shower?

Wah heng Ah-gong didn't pick up the call. πŸ˜‚

πŸ‘Ά: Wai-gong, my birthday is October!

πŸ‘¨: Yes?

πŸ‘Ά: But now is not October yet. (Dramatic sigh)

πŸ‘Ά: Yaya, next time when Meimei comes out, I carry her. You sing song ok?

πŸ’: Huh but I don't know how to sing.

πŸ‘Ά: Ok ok. Then you carry Meimei, I sing song. Ok?

πŸ’: Ok!

πŸ‘Ά: And then you cook and I feed Meimei ok?
