Caterpillar homework!

Bought lunch from Mr Bean because I wanted to get some green straws. πŸ˜‚

Homework for parents, excuse me I mean for Clarissa, is to make something out of beads or straws.

Only knew about it last week and it's due this coming Wednesday.

I tried looking for beads yesterday but couldn't find any.

Decided this morning that we would make a caterpillar with straws lol.. after googling "how to make a caterpillar with straws". πŸ˜‚

I still have no idea but I'm just going to wing it.

All I know is that it's going to be a far cry from the previous piece of homework, i.e. the train made by my sister. πŸ˜…

The brief.

I guess as long as we string something into something, half of the objective is met? πŸ˜‚

Option 1.

Add cut-up straws to the body.

Option 2.

But replace beads with straws.

Wah I'm so excited to get started on the homework tonight or tomorrow night. πŸ˜©πŸ˜‚

I think I should also make a leaf in case people can't tell it's a caterpillar? But I'm not sure if I can draw a proper leaf. πŸ˜…

Or should I cut a pandan leaf (we have 2 pots outside, from my dad) for the same purpose? πŸ˜‚

Another birthday party in school today.

I came home and saw Mama duck wearing a party hat. πŸ˜‚

I asked her whose birthday she celebrated today and she said it's C's birthday.

I wanted to find out if parents are still allowed at birthday celebrations so
I asked her, "Were C's Daddy and Mummy there too?"

She shrugged and replied nonchalantly:

I think so?

It's either yes or no, what do you mean you think so? πŸ˜’

Because the party was held over tea break and she had nuggets, corn cup and Ribena, she didn't manage to eat the waffle Ah-gong bought for her.

We said she could have it after she finished her dinner but I didn't think she'd ask for it because she finished all her beehoon.

But I guess there's always room for waffle.

She asked for the waffle about 30 minutes after finishing her dinner.

Hahahaha sorry I couldn't resist posting this unglam picture of little miss crazy-about-waffle. πŸ˜‚

She saw me taking pictures and deliberately made this goofy face.

Wai-gong was surprised by her appetite.

She must have caught him looking incredulous, she offered him some waffle.

"I give one for Wai-gong and one for Wai-po!"

So generous.

She only ate a quarter of the waffle so she was really just eating for fun / appreciation.

Time to do her homework!

She strung all the straws on her own!

It's really easy and she finished it in no time!

While I drew the leaf. πŸ˜‚

Tadah!

It's not that scary, auntie @linuxess! πŸ€£πŸ˜†

Daddy actually wanted to do this together but I thought he'd be home late so we completed the caterpillar before he reached home.

Nevermind, I told him. You can fix it onto the leaf.

So he saw the caterpillar and asked me, "So where's the head huh?"

πŸ˜’πŸ˜’πŸ˜’

In the meantime, this girl 举一反三?

She made a too-too-train with the remaining straws.

(Well she said it's a train.)

And later on, a spray.

Done!

Can pass lah? πŸ˜…

I was discussing with the hubs about how many holes to cut in the leaf.

He cut only one hole but I wanted more.

The little boss jumped in, "Mummy, you don't disturb Daddy. You let him do."

πŸ˜’πŸ˜’πŸ˜’

Took quite a while for her to fall asleep tonight.

These days she'd insist that "everybody come and sleep with me".

By everybody she means both Daddy and Mummy.

But Daddy would usually step out to take a shower while I continue lying down with her until she falls asleep.

The hubs tried to do the same thing tonight. Showered and then stayed in our room to chill.

While the little girl tossed and turned and tossed and turned.

In a very small and sad voice she said to me, "Daddy didn't come back to the room."

I tried to cover up for him, "Daddy went to take a shower, remember?"

"Come out already right?" She challenged, her voice slightly louder now.

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
Can't fool the boss.

I summoned the hubs back into her room and she eventually fell asleep in less than 10 minutes.

Partied too much? πŸ˜…
