On my way home now.

I was in back to back meetings today and couldn't stop yawning in the last two hours.

#yesterdayre without pictures because I didn't take any.

Swimming lesson was good.

The coach actually made the kids swim for a good 1-2 metres from the platform to a float, climb up the float and swim back to the platform.

Caught the little boss making her signature naughty face at her coach before swimming towards the float. πŸ˜‚

She saw us looking at her through the railings and waved at us, smiling so happily.

Couldn't stop talking about what she did at the pool even after we got home.

We tried to make her nap but only the hubs fell asleep for a bit. πŸ˜‚

So we watched "Inside out" together instead.

Well, I'm not sure if it's a good idea to let her watch movies but she watched her first one, "Boss baby" with the hubs one day when I was busy working.

She seemed to enjoy it because there is a story line and I like it that she asks a lot of questions and follows the story.

Asking questions is a good way to learn and develop.

Not going to do it too often though.

I suggested Inside Out because I thought it'd be a good one to teach her about emotions.

Unfortunately the only emotion she took away was Sadness.
Which was my favourite character but it was too complex to explain.

She actually teared at the end when the girl in the story cried after attempting to run away. 😯

We asked her why and she told us sadly, "I miss Yaya."

Erm, Yaya was on her day off yesterday and for some reason she was worried that Yaya wouldn't come home. πŸ˜‚

I told her Yaya would be back when it's dark.

She turned to look at the window and said, "Now is dark already right?"

It was only 6pm. πŸ˜‚

We ordered dinner and there were two grumpy people at the dinner table.

One was complaining about how he couldn't eat properly and always had to pick things up and clean up after someone.

And one was simply whining and not eating properly.

I attributed it to lack of sleep for the both of them, and told the whiny one, "See? This is what happens when you don't sleep. Now you are too tired to eat, right?"

And she asked me why Daddy is not happy and I told her it's because he too didn't sleep enough (he has a boys night out the night before) and so both of them are grumpy now. πŸ˜‚

Thankfully things picked up and everyone finished dinner properly.

The hubs showered and changed her, and they played "swimming" (basically jumping and kicking around on the bed πŸ˜‚) for a while before bedtime.

She fell asleep immediately after drinking milk and slept for 10 hours straight till 7am this morning. 😁

The hubs dozed off with the TV on while I caught up on Voice of China.
He complained that it was too loud and I told him I couldn't hear clearly because he was snoring so loudly. πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

And he continued sleeping while I eventually turned off the TV and lights.

This morning on our drive to work, the hubs suddenly said to me, "Dear I think you don't love me anymore."

Naturally I said, Huh? Why?

And his answer?

"You didn't remove my spectacles for me."

Haha I do that whenever he falls asleep with the TV or lights still on, but last night it didn't cross my mind at all?

Is it.. pregnant brain? πŸ˜‚πŸ€£
I didn't even realise he was wearing glasses.

So glad to come home to this little imp, who is full of tricks as usual.

She suddenly cried loudly for Mummy while sitting beside my dad on the sofa. I was in the kitchen getting my dinner. My dad looked so shocked and immediately gave me a "I didn't do anything to her!" face.

She kept crying while walking towards me and then I realised that there were no tears, and she was trying to stifle a laugh. πŸ˜‚

She hugged me and then burst out laughing.

My dad realised what she was doing and took his phone out to take a video of her antics lol.

She did it like three times. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

At around 830pm, she ran to the kitchen and said to our helper, "Yaya, can you turn on the stove? Daddy is coming home."

Aww she was asking our helper to heat up the soup for her Daddy.

But Daddy wasn't home yet so we went to her room to play.

And here she is pretending to wear a jacket because it's cold.

She heard the door open and immediately cheered and ran out to greet her Daddy. 😁

It took a while for her to fall asleep.

She asked me to join her on her bed and I obliged, after some difficulty getting up from the mattress and squeezing myself onto her bed.

She lay down beside me, wrapped her hand around my neck to pull me closer to her and smiled.

"Love you," I whispered to her, smiling.

"Love you too," She whispered back, and rolled away.

And then she said to me, "Later when you get off the bed, I help you ok?"

Hahahaha I said ok, and we lay next to each other in comfortable silence before she eventually fell asleep.

What a nice evening. 😊

Mondays aren't so bad after all.
