Our little samseng this morning.
She spilled water on her school PE t-shirt this morning, and the other piece is still in the laundry basket.
So, official uniform it is.
She agreed to put it on only because 1) I said she could wear her cardigan with it and 2) She didn't have to take off her pants. 😂
She even gave me specific instructions to button only the top button.
It's only Wednesday and I've worked only 2 days so far but I'm tired.
Work's in a swirl and I'm feeling quite lack-lastre about everything.
But I guess the biggest reason is insomnia and my lousy back/hips/joints.
I woke up at 330am on Tuesday and 3am today, and couldn't go back to sleep after that.. until maybe 5ish, I'd doze off a little but still semi conscious.
And the alarm would ring and I'd have to crawl out of bed.
My mom called me yesterday to talk about all the random stuff and she asked about our car.
I got confused and thought she was referring to Clarissa's car bed. 😂
She was asking me if we looked at a few places and compared prices, and whether there were freebies.
I was about to tell her "yeah it comes with a good quality spring mattress" when I realised she was referring to our real car.
I was still thinking, how come she knows about Clarissa's car?! 🤦🙈
Hahaha in my defence, you can't blame me for getting confused, because we already collected the car and it's kinda late to be asking about the price and whether it's a good deal.
She also asked about my back problems and wondered aloud if it was the epidural.
I laughed and said, wah even if it is because of the epidural, I'm still going for it please.
She said yes yes of course of course.
And then started telling me that oh I must avoid giving birth on XX dates because they are not good dates according to the lunar calendar.
I became a little less amused and told her, well I cannot choose the date?!
Reminded me of the time when we had to induce Clarissa and she told me, oh XX time is not good, must avoid.
I was like wtf?! How to control leh?
Inducing and delivering a baby can take anywhere between 5 hours to 50 hours eh.
I was already feeling stressed out but she kept asking about the procedure and so I said something about the pill etc, ie whatever the doctor and nurse told us.
And she was like the pill? That's for abortion.
I remember feeling upset with her for stressing me out. 😂
I know she only means well, but the things she asks for are really not within my control.
All I can hope for is a smooth delivery and healthy baby.
Monitoring the fixing of her truck.
Delivery was supposed to be between 5 to 8pm, but the delivery man called at 730pm informing that they'd be here at around 815pm.
The little boss heard me talking on the phone, and when I hung up she asked me, "Mummy! Did you ask the delivery man to bring my fire truck?"
She'd now grinning from ear to ear watching her truck come together.
She looked so thoughtful watching the uncles put the bed together.
👧: The bed is very difficult to make right?
👶: (Nodding) Yes, Clarissa cannot do it.
👧: So you must take good care of it ok?
The part she's most anxious about is the steering wheel. 😂
"Can put already?" She'd ask every other minute.
Proud owner of a fire truck. 😂
She couldn't wait to invite all her animal friends up her truck.
First priority is mama duck.
We had to persuade her to let us clean up and put on the bedsheets first.
She really invited EVERYONE.
I had to persuade her to let some of them sleep on the mattress instead.
I didn't have to ask her to pose for a picture. 😄
This picture makes me feel so happy!
She lined her ducks up like this.
But in the end only Mama duck gets that special passenger seat.
I tried to ask if Hello Kitty can get on but she said there's no space. 😂
The biggest challenge for me now is, how to get her to drink milk and sleep? 😂
She kept telling me, not yet, not yet.
She eventually said ok when I asked her for the twentieth time if she'd like to drink milk and sleep.
At first she didn't want to lie down on the pillow.
I asked her why and she said, "Later I cannot reach the wheel how?" 😂🤣
I had to assure her that no one would drive her truck while she's sleeping.
Hope she sleeps well tonight, and every night. Sweet dreams!
