This made our morning. 😁
I didn't ask the hubs to turn down the volume of the radio because I didn't want her to know I was taking a video of her random singing on her way to school.
Perhaps the song wasn't random, because it is about Mummy, Baby and Daddy, on a day we celebrate love.
It's very funny, though, because she was varying her volume and tone according to the story line of the song.
Mummy in the bus says Sshhh sshhh sshhh, that's why she was whispering. 😂
Baby in the bus says Wah wah wah, that's why she was louder.
Daddy in the bus says I love you, and I love the nonchalant exchange between the two of them, because their love needs no explanation lol.
Piggy's 10th birthday.
He turns 13 today!
And I have a rose lol.
My valentine's day present is a water bottle for him and for me.
Hahaha actually it's only because I need one for myself to be used in office and I bought one for him too.
I told her it's Piggy's birthday today and she gave him a big kiss.
I asked her to take a picture with Piggy and she did this.
No art direction needed. 😁
I bought lychee jelly cheese cake for Piggy 😂 and there's a kaypo hand trying to touch the cake.
Can't wait to eat it as usual.
She only ate the crust.
13 years ago today, I went out on a date with the hubs.
We watched "Love, actually".
The details are pretty fuzzy now but I think there was some kind of bet or agreement that we should go and catch a movie on Valentine's Day.
We were not an item yet then; I didn't think much about it because it was my last semester in NTU and I didn't think I'd get into a relationship with anyone.
But I said ok go lor because 又不会少一块肉. 😂 Anyway since he was daring enough to ask, I was daring enough to go.
He came to "pick" me up from my hostel room before we went for the movie.
He put on a lot of cologne and had this funny smile plastered on his face when he presented Piggy to me.
I don't think he gave me flowers, but I can't remember for sure.
So on Valentine's Day, 13 years ago, he gave me Piggy.. which looked like him.
And still does. Hahahahaha.
We became close during the exam period and got together in June that year, after I graduated and started working.
Hahaha oh my I'm revealing the generation I belong to.
I'm not going to say anything mushy hahaha so please don't wait up for it.
I think we've both changed in our own ways and made our relationship work.
Valentine's Day has stopped being an important day but we've not stopped being important to each other.
When he presented me with the rose tonight as we met up to drive home together, I was pleasantly surprised.
I said thank you, but can you hold it for me first? I need to go to the toilet. 😅
But I didn't feel awkward holding the rose, unlike my younger days.
I remember going out on a group outing one Valentine's Day, with someone who liked me.
He bought me and my girl friend flowers but I was so embarrassed I put the flowers in a plastic bag and asked my girl friend to hold it for me. 😂
It wasn't because he's a bad guy. In fact he is a super nice guy and I am grateful to have known him, even though we no longer keep in contact now.
But I just couldn't be the kind of girl who holds a bouquet of flowers like it's the most natural thing to do, especially on Valentine's Day. 😂
Now I can.
But no one is going to give me a big bouquet of flowers anymore. 😂😂
I kid I kid.
My point is, I feel at ease with myself because I'm with the hubs, and I'm happy because of this.
So Happy Valentine's Day, Mr Piggy. 😁
Our daughter saw her baby photos and got inspired.
She found a piece of cloth, spread it on the mattress, lay down on it and asked me to swaddle her like a baby.
So I did.
And then she asked me, "Can cover my legs?"
Hahaha but she's obviously too tall for the cloth to cover her legs so I told her I can't.
She got me to carry her and sing to her while she kept her hands in the swaddle, and smiled at me contentedly with 😍😍😍 in her eyes.
So thankful to have our little comedian. 😘😘
