Yesterday in school.
The kids had a Chinese storytelling and role playing session.
Her Teacher posted 40 pictures on the portal, but only 2 of them featured Clarissa.
The other picture was this:
Erm.. what were you doing, my dear?
Anyway I feel like I might become #helicoptermom or #tigermom because I actually CONSIDERED, albeit very very briefly, asking the teacher why there were only 2 pictures (or actually only 1) of Clarissa? Did she not participate in the class? Was she feeling unhappy or uncooperative? Did she hurt her classmates with her iron grip? 😂
But of course, I didn't.
The rational part of me figured that the teachers are so busy, classes with toddlers are so hectic, they wouldn't have thought of taking and uploading an equal number of pictures for each and every student.
But I can't resist the recurring questions, like, is she coping well with school? Is she happy?
So I check the portal everyday for updates. 🙊🙈
I just need to know that she's happy doing new things everyday and learning to interact with people.
At least that's why we send her to school. To play. To have fun. To become more confident.
I tried to ask her last night, what did you do in school today?
She smiled and said, "Tatte AUN na!" (I.e. Teacher N, the one she insisted has been farting lol fhl)
And proceeded to do 拔萝卜with me. (Similar to what she was doing with her classmate in the first picture.)
👧: "Was it because you pooped during class? That's why only 2 pictures of you?"
She ignored me. 😂
